Customers are at the forefront of everything we do at Juniper Square. As 2021 brought new challenges and opportunities for investment managers, Juniper Square expanded its business in response to the industry-wide trend of digitizing key aspects of fundraising, investor reporting, and investment management across commercial real estate. As the industry-leading provider of investment management solutions, we’re reflecting on a year filled with milestones, including new partnerships, new offerings, and new learnings.
Juniper Square grew astronomically this year—we now support more than 1,200 general partner (GP) clients who collectively manage $1.5 trillion in assets, more than 200,000 investor accounts, and 18,000-plus investment entities on the Juniper Square platform. This rapid expansion caught the attention of numerous publications and Juniper Square was recognized on several respected industry lists, including the Inc. 5000 2021 Fastest-Growing Companies in America, Deloitte’s 2020 Technology Fast 500 List, and Forbes’ 2021 America’s Best Startup Employers.
Rapid Innovation
A major factor of our growth this year was expanding the scope of what Juniper Square is capable of doing. Our engineering, product, and solutions teams have been hard at work developing a range of brand new offerings and capabilities.
Throughout the year, our engineering teams have delivered more than 60 new features and capabilities to our software. Among them is Asset Reports, a feature we’re excited to announce today that will enable GPs to generate professionally designed asset reports in PDF format, providing a polished asset reporting experience to their investors.
A major addition to our portfolio of solutions this year was Fund Administration, a first-of-its-kind solution that combines industry-leading software with expert service to deliver a modern, transparent, and responsive end-to-end fund administration for investment managers. The solution is currently used by more than 140 funds with more than $10 billion in assets under administration. Clients include Casoro Group, Creek Lane Capital, Fifield Companies, Integral Group, NewcrestImage, Parkview Financial, PTM Partners, Trevian Capital, and Trueline Capital.
Over the summer, Juniper Square launched Institutional Reporting, a revolutionary investment data network designed to unite institutional LPs and GPs around a shared set of partnership, performance, and asset data. To date, 200 GPs are using the platform, including Beacon Capital Partners, Rockpoint Group, Waterton, and more than half of the PERE Top 100.
Last month, Juniper Square launched Insights, a powerful analytics tool that helps GPs optimize fundraising operations, inform investor relations strategies, and make more data-driven decisions.
But that’s not all! We launched additional solutions, announced a partnership with Crowdstreet, and conducted market insights research to better understand the issues facing GPs and surface how they are solving those challenges.
